About the Author:
Mr. Thachuk has a Master of Arts degree in Economics and began his career in June 1988 at the Bank of Canada, the nation's central bank (the Canadian counterpart to the Federal Reserve Board in the United States) as an Economist and derivatives market analyst. Thereafter, he moved to New York City to become the Economist and derivatives market strategist of FINEX, a division of the New York Board of Trade - the oldest futures and options exchange in New York. This position enabled him to round-off and complete his futures and derivatives knowledge: after having been exposed to a theoretical and fundamental background at the Bank of Canada, his experience at a New York futures exchange provided unique insights into futures trading at the broker and floor trader level.
