Commodity Futures ChartsWelcome
Educating beginning futures and options traders.
Listed below is our recommended link to free on-line commodity charts. These charts are great because:

  • You have the option of viewing a chart from the "Floor" session, which means the traditional day-trading session, or the "Electronic" session.

  • You have the option of displaying an intraday chart, a daily graphic chart or a daily java chart.

  • You can click on any bar in the chart to view that day's open, high, low and closing prices. The precise high or low point on any chart can be seen with a simple click of the mouse.

  • Contract specifications can be selected within the menu so you'll have information such as contract size, minimum tick value and last trading day at your fingertips.

  • While you'll spend most of your time looking at the daily charts, you can also get longer-term perspectives from the weekly and monthly charts.

Updating of the bar charts is usually completed by 5:45 p.m. New York time. The commentaries are updated last, usually by 7:00 p.m. The weekly and monthly charts reflect prices for the nearest trading months, although the volume and open interest on the weekly and monthly charts is the aggregate of all active trading months.
